Gov. Gary Johnson To Embark On College Tour.

LIBERTARIAN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINEE GARY JOHNSON TO VISIT COLLEGE CAMPUSES NATIONWIDE

September 13, 2012, New York City – Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson today announced he’s heading out on a 3-week college tour that begins Sept. 17 at West Chester University in Pennsylvania and wraps up at the University of New Mexico on Oct. 9.
During his whirlwind tour, the former New Mexico governor will visit 15 schools in every corner of the nation, including New York University, Berkeley, Duke, Louisiana State University and the University of Texas.
Along the way, Gov. Johnson will meet with student groups, speak to supporters, and spread his message of fiscal conservatism and social tolerance in quads, student unions and lecture halls nationwide.
“As I travel the country, I’ve found that young people are as concerned as anybody about where this country is headed — maybe even more so, since they know the national debt will be theirs to inherit,” Gov. Johnson said. “I’ve met countless young people who are fed up with government overspending and overstepping its bounds. Whether the topic is a mandated health-care program or marriage rights, young people are rejecting the notion that these very personal decisions should be the government’s ‘call.’
“Along the campaign trail, I’ve been thrilled to find tremendous support from people in their 20′s who are embracing liberty like never before, thanks in large part to the historic influence of Rep. Ron Paul,” Gov. Johnson continued. “I’m excited to launch this tour, and to meet hundreds of young people in the coming weeks. I’m looking forward to hearing their ideas and to creating a dialogue about America’s future with the Americans who have the most at stake.”
